Are you using the easiest excuses possible to give into limiting beliefs and self-doubt?
It’s only by putting yourself outside your comfort zone, and prioritising your own health and fitness will you excel in the areas you want to excel.
One of the biggest objections I hear to getting fit and healthy is… “it’s too expensive!”
For gyms similar to our gym, that’s an objection people will put forward a LOT of the time.
Really though, it depends on how much your prioritize your own health and fitness. Do you prioritize your health and fitness over other things in your life? You get but one body to see you through this entire life… are you making that body’s wellness a priority… both so you can have the longest possible life and so you can enjoy your life to the maximum while you are on this planet?
Let’s take all of that into consideration and break it down for you… right now, at my gym in Dublin, Ireland, you can get 3-4 sessions a week with a trainer who knows what they are doing and is there to help you reach your goals, PLUS unlimited yoga sessions, PLUS unlimited sweat sessions, for the cost of a cup of coffee per day. Let me say that again… you can get all of that training and expert help at my gym for what you’d spend on a cup of coffee per day.
Most of the time, people are just using this as an excuse to give in to the little voice in their head telling them that they cannot do it. That they will fail. That they won’t be able to get themselves fit and healthy.
Money is not the real issue. These same people have the latest iPhone, nicest car, best clothes, nights out, weekends away…
Money is a convenient excuse. What is really stopping them is FEAR.
People are nervous to go outside of their comfort zone. People are skeptical about whether or not it’s a fit for them, if they will reach their goals. Maybe they are low on confidence.
You can’t move forward with any of these things unless you MOVE FORWARD WITH THESE THINGS. You have to actually DO the thing that is outside your comfort zone, believe you can do it, and go in spite of reservations, low confidence and fear. It’s that action in the face of doubt that starts to build your confidence!
Maybe you fear being the slowest, the biggest, the last in a group. This is so rarely the case, though! And even if it is, you will ALWAYS be the slowest, biggest and last UNLESS you move forward to change it!
So remember, if you find yourself using the excuse that it’s too expensive to get fit and healthy… people on the lowest of budgets can MAKE IT WORK if they make it a priority and stop believing the excuses they have allowed to set up roadblocks to your success.
