No one is perfect. It’s not possible. But we can be super hard on ourselves for not BEING perfect, especially around the holidays. We can be our own worst enemies if we listen to our internal ‘negative’ voice, and it makes us feel even worse when things don’t go the way we planned.
For example, if we miss a training session, we *may* say to ourselves that things are too busy, we can’t do this… what were we thinking even to try?! We can take missing ONE session and turn it into an insurmountable obstacle that keeps us from going back to the gym.
Instead, give yourself a BREAK. Sometimes, things come up. Even fit pros miss workouts! Sometimes it really just can’t be helped!
But don’t let it stop you from seeing to your health and fitness. Don’t allow yourself to be talked out of taking care of yourself in this way.
Just keep going! Get back to the gym! The longer you wait, the harder it will be. Don’t listen to the negative voices in your head telling you that you were destined to mess this up, or that you won’t be able to keep up with it, or that you always drop the ball. Prove yourself wrong and GO!
