We often talk about consistency and motivation being they key to getting and staying fit. Those two things will unlock a healthy mind, body and spirit and allow you to crush your goals.
You know this in theory, but maybe have wondered how to actually put it into action.
You’ve asked yourself, how do I find the motivation every day and how can I remain consistent this time?
I can tell you, it’s so much simpler than we make it out to be.
Start each day with Focus and Intention.
Make your bed.
That’s it. Yes really.
Regardless of your fitness journey, or lack thereof, this will help in every aspect of your life and the best part is you’ll see instant results.
Anyone can tell you to start each day with focus and intention and leave it up to you to interpret. What I’m telling you is that it’s as easy as making your bed.
When you begin your day by completing a task, you can carry that focus for the rest of it. On the other hand, lazing yourself into the day without intention will also stick around.
Which would you rather consistently carry each day? Which will get you closer to your goals?
By waking up and immediately focusing on the task at hand, you’re setting your intention for the rest of the day. This is the foundation on which you can build any goal. And again, it starts out with something as easy as making your bed.
Once you’ve started making this a habit, start to add more smart early morning tasks. Get your workout out of the way as early as possible, knock out important emails right away instead of putting them off, complete your cleaning list as early as possible and Crush Your Day.
The impact it’ll make will be fast and lasting. Seeing that glimmer of what you’re capable of will jumpstart your motivation because of that instant reward of checking something off the to do list.
Still skeptical? I don’t blame you. But I can promise you, start tomorrow and you’ll feel different tomorrow.
