Loads of beginners have been joining us lately here at Urban Fitness! With Beginners come questions and the main thing they wanna know is How Get Lean. Fast.
A lot of people think this is complicated but I promise you it's not. I’ve broken it down for you into REAL LIFE knowledge so you can apply these top tips to your real life and up your success.
Training and Nutrition
These are the only two things you need to get lean this summer.
When Training, I’ve got three tips to keep you on track for fast Fat Loss.
First, strength training needs to be your priority work out. Shoot for 2-4 times a week. A common misconception is that you only need high intensity to lose fat. You don’t need to be lying in a puddle of sweat at the end of your workout to change your physique. The best way to build muscle and get lean is strength training.
Second is to make cardio a part of your routine. I want to make sure you understand that cardio doesn’t need to be your only workout, but it is still beneficial. Try to work in high intensity conditioning sets 1-3 times a week.
Lastly and most importantly, burn your calories in a fun environment. I talked about this on my instagram . When you’re enjoying what you’re doing it’s like free training. For me, I enjoy kickboxing and jiu jitsu, so when I’m training I’m not concentrating on reps or calories or anything like that. Since I’m focused on improving my skill and just enjoying the activity it’s truly like I’m losing fat for free.
The other half of the equation for fat loss is Nutrition. This one even slightly edges out Fitness. If you’re not eating right your exercise isn’t going to be nearly as effective as it could be. Fear not. This is also much simpler than it seems.
Number one most important tip for fat loss- Consistently eat less calories than you’re burning daily. It doesn’t have to be a major deficit but it does need to be less to lose fat.
While you do need to eat less calories, it’s very important to hit your protein targets consistently. Do this by making sure protein is the star of every meal. This will not only keep hunger at bay for longer but it will help fuel your body through your workouts and daily life.
Lastly, enjoy what you’re eating. I can’t stress this enough. Gone are the days of carrying around rice, fish and broccoli in plastic containers to avoid any other foods. Have a flexible approach to nutrition. You absolutely should be eating as clean as you can but the options for that are endless. Make sure you’re using food you enjoy, have easy access to and can make quickly. There is no need to make eating right hard.
Consistently concentrating on Training and Nutrition this summer will get you leaner and stronger than any pill or wrap or whatever other BS people will try to sell you. I’d love to see your progress and hear your thoughts. For more support and tips like these, join us here !
