Whether it’s been on your mind for a while or a sudden whim after getting winded going down the stairs, you’ve decided it’s time. You’re going to get your a$$ in gear.
If that’s where your decisive energy ends and you feel the familiar overwhelmed feeling of “what now”... Don’t Worry.
You got this.
LIke most things, this can be as simple or get as complicated as you allow. Since you’re reading this online, right now you’re in the danger zone. Continue browsing and you could find yourself buried in so much advice and do’s and don’ts and routines and make sure you’s and definitely don’t etceteraAAH
Lucky you’ve stopped where you have. At Urban Fitness we like simple. We LOVE simple. We like efficient and we avoid bullshit at all costs.
Notice I didn’t say anything about easy though.
A big mistake beginners often make when entering the fitness world is looking for “easy”. If you open your search bar right now and type “How to get fit” it’ll drop down loads of top searched options including- FAST, in 2 weeks, without exercise (this one made me actually laugh out loud) so on and so forth.
Let me just tell you now.
This isn’t going to be easy.
The moment you not only accept that, but welcome it, you’ll be ready for anything.
Making the commitment to your health, your well-being, the skin you’re in isn’t something you shouldn’t take lightly.
Getting fit is as much about getting your mind strong as it is your body. When you’ve fully committed your mindset to getting fit, your body will be able to handle anything you throw at it.
So before you start researching all the latest exercise trends, how to calculate your macros or which workout routines you want to try, stop and take a deep breath. Repeat after me.
This won’t be easy. This shouldn’t be easy. I deserve better than easy. I can. And I will.
