“Fear has a very concrete power of keeping us from doing and saying the things that are our purpose.” — Luvvie Ajayi

If something scares you, do it anyway. If something makes you uncomfortable, do it anyway. Do it through the fear and discomfort. Do it BECAUSE of the fear and discomfort. Being brave isn’t about NOT being afraid… it’s about feeling and acknowledging the fear, and doing the right thing for you, and your family, friends and the world, anyway.

Comfort and safety keep you where you are. They keep you stagnate… in a holding pattern. Comfort keeps you from asking for a raise, or suggesting a new project or direction at work. Comfort keeps you from making changes that could be great for you.

Comfort offers an illusion of safety. But how ‘safe’ is it, really?

Stay comfortable. Don’t go to the gym. Don’t make changes in your life that improve your health and energy levels. How ‘safe’ are you keeping yourself?

Stay comfortable. Don’t quit smoking. It is, after all, a really hard thing to do. How ‘safe’ are you really keeping yourself?

Again, being comfortable is offering you an illusion of safety. But are you ACTUALLY safe?

Where in your life are you making the ‘comfortable’ choice instead of the BEST choice?
